Registered members of this Web site may upload their résumés for employers to use! Follow the directions below to do this.
Notes:
- Your résumé may be viewed by any registered member of this Web site.
- Registration with this Web site does not register you as a member of the Society for Technical Communication.
- Résumés are not part of a searchable database. Each document stands on its own.
- This is a moderated service: we review and approve all material before publishing it online. We do not, however, verify the accuracy of information presented in anyone’s résumé.
Steps:
- Register with this Web site
- Log in to your account
- Click Documents from the User Menu on the left
- Click Submit a File
- Choose one of the three options available (Upload a file from your computer is most commonly used)
- Click Next
- Click the Browse button (to upload a file from your computer)
- Select the document you want to upload
- Click Upload
- Give the document a name (default=filename.file extension)
- Select the appropriate Category for your document (Talent Pool | sub-category)
- If you want to set a link back to your personal or company homepage, enter the URL in the Homepage field
- Enter a description of your document, if you wish
- Click the Check icon to complete this process or
- Click the X icon to cancel the operation
Categories
You can place your résumé in any of the following document categories:
- Advertising
- Business Analysis
- Desktop Publishing
- Education and Training
- Grant Writing
- Technical Editing
- Marketing Communication
- Proposal Writing
- Technical Writing
- Usability and Interface Design
- Web Design and Development
If you wish to include your résumé in more than one category, you must upload it separately into each category you choose.
