The Conference Committee designs, develops, and conducts the regional technical communications conferences and seminars sponsored by James River Chapter.
This committee conducts the planning and execution to:
- Select a host city
- Identify and secure a host facility
- Coordinate the program with the Program Committee
- Coordinate publicity with the Public Affairs Committee
- Ensure physical arrangements are made to support the Conference, speakers, and participants on-site
- Register participants
- Follow up with participants and speakers to identify issues and rectify them
There’s a lot of leg-work involved with this committee, but it also affords members a great degree of creativity. The challenges are far outweighed by the rewards reaped from a job well done.
