The Conference Committee designs, develops, and conducts the regional technical communications conferences and seminars sponsored by James River Chapter.

This committee conducts the planning and execution to:

  • Select a host city
  • Identify and secure a host facility
  • Coordinate the program with the Program Committee
  • Coordinate publicity with the Public Affairs Committee
  • Ensure physical arrangements are made to support the Conference, speakers, and participants on-site
  • Register participants
  • Follow up with participants and speakers to identify issues and rectify them

There’s a lot of leg-work involved with this committee, but it also affords members a great degree of creativity. The challenges are far outweighed by the rewards reaped from a job well done.
