Conference Committee

The Conference Committee designs, develops, and conducts the regional technical communications conferences and seminars sponsored by James River Chapter.

This committee conducts the planning and execution to:

Select a host city
Identify & secure a host facility
Coordinate the program with the Program Committee
Coordinate publicity with the Public Affairs Committee
Ensure physical arrangements are made to support the Conference, speakers, and participants on-site
Register participants
Follow-up with participants and speakers to identify issues and rectify them

There’s a lot of leg–work involved with this committee, but it also affords a great degree of initiative and creativity. The challenges are far outweighed by the rewards reaped from a job well done.
