Competitions Committee

This committee organizes and conducts the annual technical communication competitions for the Chapter. The committee:

• Publicizes chapter competitions
• Selects judges
• Conducts the competitions
• Displays winning entries
• Presents awards at the annual banquet
• Submits winning local entries to the international competitions
• Informs the chapter of any international winners

To fulfill these responsibilities, the committee must have the support of the chapter secretary (who provides mailing lists for related professional organizations, technical societies, and other STC chapters in the region) and the following chapter committees:

• Arrangements—The arrangements committee handles banquet details.
• Membership—The membership committee supplies the current chapter mailing list.
• Program—The program committee assists with plans for the program at the awards banquet.
• Publicity—The publicity committee issues the press releases and competition brochures.
