Cynthia began her career in technical communications in 1988. A native Texan, Cynthia moved to the Williamsburg area for a change of scene in 2003 and now considers herself a naturalized Virginian.
Cynthia graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, after spending her senior year at Oxford University, England. Having few clues what one does with a degree in English, Cynthia proceeded immediately to graduate school and to work in several bookstores. After receiving a master’s degree from the University of North Texas, Cynthia spent several years raising a child and teaching preschool. She entered the field of technical communications as a proposal writer and has never looked back.
Cynthia currently works for RSI, a CIBER Company, as a technical writer and instructional designer on a project under development for the Army Training Support Center at Fort Eustis. Cynthia’s experience in technical communication includes online and printed documentation, marketing collateral, and instructional materials for end users of computer software in a variety of industries. |
